Is the Epson Stylus D92 a cheap printer?

You may think that the purchase price of a printer determines whether a something is cheap or not, but in the case of inkjet printers it’s the cost of the replacement printer ink cartridges that determines this and not the price of the printer. Epson D92 ink cartridges are not cheap at least not when you compared them to the cost of the printer itself. Epson claim that their printer cartridges contain DURABrite technology which helps produce better printing results and this technology costs a lot to develop and this is why the inks are so expensive. If you can live without DURABrite ink technology in your cartridges then you can buy compatible ink cartridges for the Stylus D92 which cost 60% less than the genuine Epson inks. For a budget printer the Stylus D92 performs amazing well as almost any printing task its designed to do and that is everyday text printing as well as high-quality photo prints. The speed in which it prints is not great but not terrible with 25 pages per minute in black ink in draft mode but in most commonly used standard mode 2 and bit pages per minute is more the real world figure. So is the Epson Stylus D92 a cheap printer? Well, not if you’re using Epson ink cartridges it isn’t.
